View Tube Market: Incredible lineup of local creatives confirmed

With just two weeks to go until our first Local Creative Market at the View Tube we’re excited to be able to share more info about the emerging creatives, designers and makers that will be there. Our fantastic resident studios will be open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday 12th May, and they will be joined by eight new stall-holders who will be showcasing and selling illustrations, t-shirts, ceramics, woodcuts and fashion items.

Grace Du Prez is a London based 3D Printing Pen Artist that creates one-off pieces. Grace is doing a drop in 3D printing pen workshop at the market.

Sofia Ilmonen and Miina Laitsaari will have their collections on show. Sofia will also be running a make do and mend master class – drop in and learn how to breathe new life into your old clothes.

Victoria Myatt from Promises Promises has a collection of beautiful, graphic, and modern jewellery.

Mark Powell creates artwork by reusing old envelopes as canvases to produce incredible drawings. His sketches are made using only a Biro pen, and they often incorporate original stamps and postage marks.

Nana from Love Yaa Yaa is all about celebrating our differences and showing them in the most stylish ways. She has created a range of leather belts available in differing colours, leather and sizes.

Tara Enyia is a British painter and fashion illustrator. Her products include prints, cards and stationary featuring her delicate illustrations.

Greta Sordo-Tang is a historical Costume Designer.

Additional stall-holders on the day

Estelle from Hey Joey It’s Estelle creates TV, film & pop culture obsessed products, including cards, colouring books & pins, illustrated and produced in East London.

Hannah Jane Smith is a Hackney Wick based artist. She will be selling block printed tee shirts and textiles, limited edition prints and one off artworks on paper and wood at the market.

Suzan creates a variety of ceramics including sculptural work, jewellery and kitchen items.

Lewis makes original, handmade woodcuts and linocuts inspired by landscapes and myths out of his studio in Hackney Wick.

 

Katie puts together monochrome illustrations with a striking colour pop into a collection of fun Greetings Cards and bold Cityscape Art Prints.

Peter Bennett creates screen printed t shirts featuring artist drawings, and prints at the LAB Hackney Wick. He is working on his series of paintings, drawings, sculptures, music and writings.

Don’t forget Gabby and her team in the cafe will be serving up some tasty food and drinks whether you’re looking for hearty brunches or sweet afternoon snacks they’ve got it all… and it’s seriously good!
