Our Farmers Market hero, Veronica, has been at the View Tube five days a week providing the local community with organic, fresh food ❤️ People have been able to replace their supermarket shop with a less busy, open air grocery option that’s taken the edge off of food shopping – everyone is trying to maintain distance from crowds, so a walk along the Greenway to get some staples has been a welcomed option.
Those coming to purchase food from the market (including breads, pastries eggs, cheese, fruits, veg, chocolate, honey & more) have shown courtesy and respect for the new guidelines, maintaining 2m distance and and following our ground rules- Thank you people of E15 😇
Nigel from VT Bikes has also been collaborating with Veronica to offer a delivery service to those who are most in need. VT Bikes remains open, offering rentals and bike services- cycling is a good way to get some daily exercise around the Olympic Park area, suitable for different fitness levels and you’ll get some Vitamin D whilst exercising!
With the Cafe reopening for takeaways too, superfood Acai bowls and other healthy, hearty options will be available to collect. We hope that The View Tube can bring you feeling of comfort during this time- as a community hub we want to help people stay healthy both physically and mentally, whilst staying safe and following government guidelines. So whether you stop by to pick up fresh vegetables, do some exercise or pick up a tasty snack from the cafe, we’ll make sure distancing measures are in place and we hope you’ll feel a sense of wellbeing and normality!
Our farmers market times for this May and June are: Wednesday 10-6pm, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday: 12-6pm. See you there (from afar!)
