DESCRIPTION:We’re delighted that three of the V22 View Tube artists (Yvona Nov\, Vicky Myatt and Tara Enyia) are participating in the 9th year of Hackney WickED\, DIY open studios. The View Tube is on the edge of the world’s most concentrated creative community\, Hackney Wick\, East London. Come\, support and enjoy this exciting weekend programme that encompasses all art forms. \nThe studios will be open noon until 6pm on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th July\, so pop by to see their works and then grab some food and drink from the cafe too. \nIncluded V22 View Tube artists:\nYvona Nov\nEast London based illustrator and graphic designer. Her drawings of animals are very much result of self-meditation. By entangling elements of plants\, psychedelic lines and spirals she reveals her appreciation and love for nature and wildlife. Most of Yvona’s intricate drawings are done used black pen and ink\, however very often she reaches for mix media – from gouache\, watercolours and pencils to digital to create creatures submerged in colour. More info on Yvona’s website. \nVicky Myatt\nMARLENE\, her latest collection\, is a place where the essence of masculine and feminine exist in harmony to create an beautiful collection of sensual tools and functional art objects. Each piece is produced in special thick-cast marbled porcelain\, known for its beauty and strength and presented in minimalist handcrafted leather packaging. MARLENE carries a strong visual and sensory narrative that resonates with the ideal of life and art as one. \nTara Enyia\nFashion and Botanical Artist Tara Enyia’s illustrations have been described as ‘elegant and well polished’. The London born London College of Fashion graduate’s combination of traditional drawing techniques and modern aesthetic culminate towards her cohesive and contemporary artistic outlook. Tara creates collectable and commissionable works for both private and commercial clients. On June 28th\, one of them\, Michael\, is holding another edition of his free introductory lecture on Graphic Design. The View Tube’s excellent cafe will be serving beer and snacks – it’ll be a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to learn a bit about graphic design. \nBook your free place on Eventbrite now\, as spaces are limited. \nWith publishing technology advancements (both online and offline) more and more people from different backgrounds are creating visual content. Having basic visual design skills can empower you to create more engaging content\, work with designers more efficiently\, evolve your personal business and much more. \nMichael Obrizkiv\, tutor at Open Design School\, will talk about what skills are most useful\, how to acquire them\, and what are the best resources to start learning. The talk will be interesting for both designers looking for career growth and non-designers interested in learning new skills. \nIt’s also a good opportunity to ask any questions about Open Design School courses!
